How many cups of coffee are consumed globally per day?
~2–3 billion cups/day
HabitsWorld coffee consumption is about 10.6 million tonnes a year (177 million 60-kg bags in 2024/25), which works out to somewhere between 2 and 3 billion cups a day depending on how strong you make it. Finland drinks the most per person, around 12 kg of beans a year. About two-thirds of US adults drink coffee daily. The line that coffee is 'the second most traded commodity after oil' is false; it is not even the top agricultural export.
