Which countries have the highest risk tolerance?

The Global Preferences Survey (80,000 people, 76 countries) found self-reported risk tolerance highest in parts of Africa and the Middle East and lowest in parts of Europe and East Asia; richer countries were not systematically more risk-tolerant. Within countries, risk tolerance rises with income and education and falls with age. The measure combines survey questions with incentivised lottery choices.
