What is the maximum heart rate during exercise?
The commonly used formula for maximum heart rate (MHR) is 220 minus your age. A 30-year-old's estimated MHR is 190 bpm. During high-intensity interval training, elite athletes can push above 200 bpm. The 'aerobic zone' is typically 50β70% of MHR; the 'anaerobic zone' is 80β95%.
