What percentage of people have blue eyes?
About 8–10% of the world's population have blue eyes, making it the rarest of the common eye colours. Blue eyes are most prevalent in Northern and Eastern Europe — in Estonia and Finland, over 80% of the population is blue-eyed. The trait is genetically recessive and became common only in the last 10,000 years.
